Superstorm Sandy’s impact on NYC, four years later
On October 18th amNewYork reported that “four years ago, superstorm Sandy became the city’s most devastating natural disaster, knocking out power, destroying homes and causing a whopping $19 billion in damage. But despite the time that has passed, some coastal neighborhoods are still trying to get back to normal”.Yarmus Engineering, P.C. has worked with clients throughout NYC, and the surrounding areas of NY and NJ, consulting on flood damage, necessary repairs, consultation on dewatering system options, and assistance with fulfilling government and insurance program requirements to obtain funding to assist them in covering the expenses associated with applicable storm-related projects. Mold Inspection and Removal
On October 7th the Greenville Daily News reported that “despite mold leading to the groundbreaking discovery of lifesaving antibiotics, it can be an unhealthy nuisance when it encroaches the home”. The reporter wrote that “in (their) 116-year-old home, (they had) been smelling the telltale musty odor of mildew wafting up through the heat vents. Along with this, (they had) been plagued with health issues that are typically associated with mold reaction”.
